Nature’s Bounty and Mighty Oak were both accepted into the Five x Five x Five Juried Exhibition to be held at the Jacksonville State University exhibition of works with dimensions under five inches. Nature’s Bounty features a field of white clover with a single honeybee, inspiring a deep appreciation for the profound gifts of our honeybees and all pollinators. Mighty Oak, with its three trees and 12 tiny acorns within the root system inspires a deep appreciation for the many seeds planted by our elders and an awareness of the potency of the seemingly tiny seeds each of us contribute to our world.
The exhibition opens May 26th with an Artist Reception and will remain open through June 24, 2016.
Marriage of Spirit in Juried Exhibition
Marriage of Spirit, on the optional bronze base has been accepted into the Liturgical and Sacred Art Juried Exhibition in Springfield, Ill. This impressive exhibition closes May 28, 2016 and is being held in the beautiful exhibition space at 700 North 4th Street, Springfield, ILL. Marriage of Spirit inspires a deep appreciation for the profound web of loving connection our lives represent. Creatures of air, land, and water are sculpted within the roots of the three quiet trees, while subtle heart shaped openings among the foliage reflect the essence of Love.
Highly Unique Purchase Opportunity
In December we moved our studio and while the new space is beautifully conductive to a creative flow, it is smaller. In an effort to conserve space, we have decided to offer the very limited number of Artist Proof pieces we hold on editions sold out years ago. We will continue to hold any Foundry Proofs we have in inventory to accommodate any future retrospective exhibits – such as the Tempe Center for the Arts exhibition we participated in last year. Artist Proofs appear identical in appearance for each of these pieces. Molds are broken when an edition sells out, insuring no additional future casting. This is the final opportunity to purchase one of these valued pieces (unless in years ahead we decide to offer any Foundry Proofs where available). Follow the links to read more about each piece including companion writing. Call early for best opportunity to procure the piece of your choice or for additional information at 520.622.6377. These pieces will only be offered until sold and then no longer available – in some cases there are more than one available and other cases only one final piece available.
We are offering the following Artist Proofs for purchase at this time:
Gratitude – Edition of 54 Sold Out in 2007. Purchase price for artist proof is $4400
The Little Ones (both green and classic patina) – Edition of 75, Sold Out in 2012; Purchase Price for artist proof is $2800

Miniature Art Show at the Broadmoor Art Galleries
This past week-end, Dec 5, 2015 the Broadmoor Galleries at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs CO hosted a holiday miniature art show featuring the works of ten artists. Carol was present for the show and one of the ten artists’ work featured. While it snowed most of the day, Saturday, it was a wet snow and amazingly beautiful as dusk fell and the thousands of lights inside and outside the hotel glistened with a most impressive beauty. It was a festive day and fun to gather with our partners at the Broadmoor to ring in the season!

Colorado Springs with the Broadmoor Galleries
This week I was delighted to be able to work with the wonderful staff at the Broadmoor Galleries in Colorado Springs, CO. On the left, Carol explains the symbolism of the small, beloved Aries Maple vessel explaining the symbolism of the nine maple keys (seed pods) within the root system – the zodiac sun sign of Aries holds the attribute of always wanting to be or go “first” – this same attribute is true to the maple species – always they bud out when most others remain in winter slumber. The 193 edition size was chosen to represent the “1” of wanting/a willingness to go or be first (to speak or do), coupled with the nine seed pods and 3 trees = 193. On the right, Carol shares a few moments during the wet morning hours with gallery manager, Krista.
It was a lovely day devoted to working closely with the staff, gaining more understanding of how we might better support them, and helping them grow more familiar and comfortable with me and the entire body of work. What a lovely, deep joy to be in partnership with this talented staff. Visit the gallery – it’s a unique treasure chest of amazingly beautiful works!
